Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 apples, diced
- 8 cups cubed bread (preferably stale)
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 cups chicken stock
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown sausage in a skillet. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion, celery, and apples until softened.
- Mix sausage, vegetables, bread, sage, and thyme in a large bowl. Add chicken stock and toss to combine.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes.
