Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 apples, diced
  • 8 cups cubed bread (preferably stale)
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 cups chicken stock

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown sausage in a skillet. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion, celery, and apples until softened.
  4. Mix sausage, vegetables, bread, sage, and thyme in a large bowl. Add chicken stock and toss to combine.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes.
